A solitaire engagement ring doesn’t have to be simple, it just has to be singular. At Cushla Whiting, we treat the solitaire as a blank canvas for personal expression. We create rings where a single stone holds the full weight of the moment it represents. 

We’ve reimagined the solitaire for a sculptural eye and an appreciation for form. With pear-cut diamonds nestled in curved wrap bands to emerald-cut sapphires framed in clean, crisp bezels, each of our designs toe the line between bold looks and minimalist principles.

The solitaire’s legacy is long, growing in popularity back in the late 1800s when Charles Tiffany released what has now become an iconic six-prong setting. But this style of engagement ring really took off when the famous ad campaign tagline “A diamond is forever” took hold in the 1970s. 

The solitaire rings at Cushla Whiting have evolved a great deal since then, but one thing that has always remained is the intentionality, impact, and beauty of the solitaire design.
