Start by completing our detailed questionnaire, after which you'll consult with one of our expert designers, either virtually or in person if you're visiting from Canberra. We'll guide you through our exclusive collection and showcase our ethically sourced gemstones. Once you've chosen your favorite design elements, we'll provide comprehensive quotes. Your unique piece will then be crafted by master jewelers, undergoing rigorous quality checks to ensure it meets our highest standards before delivery.
Absolutely. All diamonds imported to Australia must be certified conflict-free under the Kimberley Process. At CUSHLA WHITING, we go beyond this by sourcing our modern cut diamonds directly from reputable global sightholders. For colored gemstones, our GIA Gemologist Hamish Whiting has fostered strong relationships with trusted suppliers in each mining region. We're committed to supporting local economies through responsible sourcing, particularly in areas where artisanal mining provides vital supplementary income to communities.
We dedicate a full hour for each appointment with our design and gemology specialists. Whether you're joining us virtually from Canberra or elsewhere, we ensure you have ample time to explore all options and make an informed decision.
Many couples choose to collaborate on selecting the perfect ring, keeping only the proposal timing a surprise. For those selecting alone, we suggest working from hints your partner has given or consulting their close friends. Our experienced team, who regularly work with clients from Canberra and across Australia, can also offer guidance based on your partner's style preferences and lifestyle.
Certainly. Our founder and GIA Gemologist, Hamish Whiting, personally selects all our diamonds and colored gemstones. With over two decades of experience, including sourcing unique Australian gemstones, Hamish has developed a sophisticated strategy for securing top-quality stones that offer both exceptional beauty and value for our clients.
We offer a complimentary resize within two sizes up or down. However, it's important to get as close to the correct size as possible initially, as significant resizing may not be feasible for all designs. Our team can provide helpful tips on estimating your partner's ring size accurately, even if you're based in Canberra or elsewhere.
We currently do not offer payment plans. For ready-to-ship pieces, full payment is required to secure the order. For bespoke creations, we require a 50% deposit to commence production, with the remaining balance due when the piece is completed. We're happy to discuss these terms with our Canberra clients and those from other locations.
While we don't currently have a physical showroom in Canberra, we offer comprehensive virtual appointments for clients across Australia. Our expert consultants can guide you through our designs and showcase our extensive 4K digital gemstone library, featuring rare and unique stones ethically sourced by our GIA gemologist, Hamish Whiting. We strive to make the experience just as engaging and informative as an in-person visit.
